Hyrule Scripts 1.01

This application serves as an effective tool for users interested in mastering the writing systems of Hyrule. It offers features that enable users to practice tracing each script until they achieve familiarity, followed by self-assessment quizzes on the letters.

Currently, the app includes two writing systems: Sheikah and Hylian, specifically the version seen in Breath of the Wild. Other writing systems such as Gerudo and Zonai will be included as they are deciphered. Additionally, Hiragana and Katakana are integrated to assist users in learning older Hylian scripts.

The Sheikah language, predominantly used by the Sheikah in both Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, is characterized by its presence on ancient architecture and artifacts, particularly within Ancient Shrines. This alphabet functions primarily as a cipher of the Latin alphabet, although some variations exist in terms of punctuation, such as full stops separating sentences and hyphens between certain phrases.

The structure of the Sheikah alphabet is distinctive, featuring linear and angular forms that fit within an invisible, uniformly square boundary. This design does not appear to draw inspiration from any established scripts and seems unfamiliar to Hylians, who predominantly utilize Hylian writing.

The Hylian writing system represented in A Link Between Worlds, Tri Force Heroes, and Breath of the Wild is a modified iteration of the Sky Era alphabet. This version shares several symbols with its predecessor while displaying notable similarities. Certain characters within this alphabet correspond to multiple Hylian letters, including D and G, E and W, F and R, J and T, as well as O and Z.

In Lorule, the writing employs a reversed yet identical alphabet that offers an interesting contrast to its Hyrule counterpart.
